WHAT TO EXPECT
Below, we have provided some information about what students can expect and how it will affect their schedules:
Total Time Commitment
During the first week, total instruction time amounts to approximately 16 hours, which is spread over 4 sets of lessons (Parts 1-4) and a 5th lesson to help students prepare for the final examination. The overall time commitment may vary from student to student.
There are no live lectures. All content is self-paced within the time constraints specified.
We encourage students to plan for 16 hours of facilitated learning during the first week. During the second week, students can expect 2-3 hours of review followed by 90 minutes to complete the final examination.
Each student has the freedom to work ahead of schedule or get caught up in the second week if something interrupts her/his schedule. The entire program is self-paced, including the final examination; however, the entire program must be completed by the end of Friday during the second week.
Preparing for the School
Prior to the start of the school, our instructor will contact each student with important information. There are no special preparations that students must execute in advance of the school. Everything they need to know will be provided ahead of time by email.
Preparing for the Final Examination
We recommend that students spend approximately 2-3 hours in preparation for the final exam, which can be taken at any time, as long as it is taken before midnight on the 2nd Friday. Most students complete their coursework during week 1, then focus on preparing for and completing the final exam in week 2.
The final examination must be proctored by a representative of each student's laboratory. Proctors will be asked to complete an online Proctor Certification Form to confirm that the final examination was taken in compliance with our program rules.
